The summer of 1986, known as the “black summer” in history of K2: 13 alpinists were killed on the second
highest mountain on earth.
Nearly 30 years later, the filmmaker Eliza Kubarska takes on a journey with four of the grown up
children of the killed mountaineers. On the way up to the K2 basecamp, everyone is confronted with their story of life and try to find out, what their parents drawn to climb K2, which at the end
would be their grave. Parallel asks Eliza, as women and alpinist: “Is my passion worth the risk? Should I be a mom as a mountaineer?
